Hurghada

Although Hurghada is already a well developed tourist area, with a large amount of infrastructure work underway. It is clear to see the huge scale of apartment builds in Hurghada along with further construction work to smarten up some of the less visually appealing parts of the town. The smart Promenade area is a good example of what can be achieved in the current effort to smarten up the area. It is expected that the promenade will be extended and that the busy and popular shopping, bars and restaurants area of Sheraton Road will be furnished with new paving at some point in the near future.

Hurghada is a large town spread out across the Red Sea coastline. Made up of two main areas namely Sakalla and Dahar, (Downtown). A massive scale of construction is increasing the size of Hurghada inland and to the North and South. Most of the beach front land has been taken by the large 5 star resort chains with the beaches turned to private resort beaches, although there are still around 9 pubic beaches. However finding development land with sea views and beach access has become increasingly rare over the past two years.

Hurghada has a unique feel amongst the resorts with a lively town life outside of the 5 star resort areas. There are a wide variety of lifestyle choices to choose from in Hurghada, you can party in one of the many beach clubs for example Ministry of Sound beach club, eat in a wide variety of restaurants from excellent local Egyptian food to Italian, shop for souvenirs and cheap clothing, take a day trip to the beautiful sandy islands just off the coast or simply stay in your 5 star resort and relax in luxury pool and beach side accommodation. It is this variety, the friendliness of the locals and the high security of the area that attracts a growing number of tourists each year.

Off the coast of Hurghada are some excellent scuba diving opportunities on the many coral reefs. Side tours to Luxor, trips into the desert and many other organized excursions are readily available in the area. Hurghada’s growing tourism and established and rapidly improving infrastructure can make Hurghada a safe and quality investment choice.

Although there are a number of apartments for sale in Hurghada some clearly outshine others due to their location and pricing. Understanding Hurghada is essential to making quality apartment choices and avoiding over priced apartments or falling for promises of nearby beaches which in some cases is not the case. Only by visiting Hurghada can you really get the picture of how this large town works and to see where exactly your property is located and experience the area.
